The Players
Mark Belanger -Sax, Vocals
Mark began his playing career at 18, with a southern NH band called “James & Company”. From there, played with other bands such as “Straight Ahead”, and “Joplin Hart” until landing his dream gig with “The Wicked Big Band” along with Gardner Berry, and Lisa Guyer, as the house band every week at “The Yard Restaurant”. As do all good things…the end of that era sparked a new group called “Rhythm Coalition” that for the next 7 years was very popular in the greater Boston area.
In the fall of 2001, Mark and some of the members of Rhythm Co. began what is now …

Donna Salviati – Vocals, percussion
Donna has been singing all her life but started professionally at the age of 19. Her first paying gig was with a wedding band out of Haverhill, MA called Generations. For the next 15 years Donna worked with various GB bands throughout Eastern MA. Her first chance at club gigs came when she was asked to be a guest singer with The Classics Show Band at a restaurant near Manchester Airport called Classics. This is were she met local musicians such as, Lisa Guyer, Gardner Berry and Andy Verdi. After three years at Classics Donna got married and dropped out of performing for a few years. During her divorce she bumped into an old musician friend who told her about a band looking for a singer. Donna went to the audition and got a 7 month gig with Rhythm Coalition filling in for their singer who was shipped off to the Middle East. Eventually Rhythm Coalition broke up and Donna got the call to join The Souled Out Show Band. Although performing is her passion, her first love is her day job teaching music. Donna has been a music teacher in the public school system for the past 20 years. Besides being a pretty good singer Donna can play piano, guitar and violin. She, also, gives private voice and piano lessons to some very talented young people throughout Southern NH.
Influences: You don’t want to know, they’re all real corny…let’s just say I’m a Broadway Baby and I didn’t go to my first rock concert until I was 28.
Russ Magnuson – Drums, percussion, sound
Originally from the Burlington, Vermont area where his spent most of this time playing in the pit orchestras of local theatre companies, Russ has been playing in southern NH bands since 1980
As an original member of the 1980′s band “PEAK”, he not held downt he position of drummer, but also took on the task of learning how to wire and operate all the sound and lighting equipment. With a degree in electornics, he also had the job of repairing all the equipment. Not to mention mechanical repairs on their buss when it ran into guardrails (or the lead singer’s car).
By the late 80′s, when not playing drums with his group, Russ would be in any one of a half dozen clubs running sound for another band. This pattern continues thru the 90′s as well.
For Russ, the 2000′s have seen almost exclusively sound and lighting work, filling in occasionally for other drummers. Recently, however, he decided to start playing again. Russ now finds himself laying down the beat for the band he spent the last few years mixing!
Marc Smith – Guitar, vocals
Marc has played in many bands over the years, from classic rock to country. Some bands include Strikepoint, GA Group, Plan B, Workin Stiffs, PCDM and The Jacy Dawn Group. Marc subbed in with Souled Out since 2004 until he became a permanent member in December of 2006. He also owns and operates Hundred Dollar Demo, a cost effective recording studio in Merrimack, NH as well as Hundred Dollar Design, a cost effective website design and hosting service for local musicians and businesses.

Tom grew up in a musical family. His father, Dr. Thomas G. Elliot, DMA, Dean of the College of Music at University of Lowell, nurtured his son’s musical abilities – offering him all kinds of opportunities to study many different instruments and perform in various groups as a youngster. Tom has always had a gift for the arts – both musical and visual. After graduating high school, he decided to pursue higher education in the visual arts, and attended Massachusetts College of Art. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1987 with a BA in Graphic Design and took a job as a Graphic Designer with an ad agency in Southern Maryland. In 1995, Tom opened his own graphic design studio, TG Graphics – which remains a successful enterprise and offers full services advertising solutions for business all along the east coast.
Throughout his career as a Graphic Designer, Tom has continued to play bass guitar for a number of local cover groups, original acts and tribute bands. Among these bands are: The Main Event~ a Maryland-based cover band, The Other Brothers~specializing in southern rock music, Yokeshire~an original progressive rock group, and Zootopia~a tribute to the band, U2.
Ron Belanger – Rhythm guitar, vocals, percussion
Ron’s been playing stringed instruments of all sorts, strictly by ear, since childhood.
I have an eclectic taste in music, and have no major influences, but rather, appreciate great, musicianship from a varied array of artists. Ron has been with this band and the band it sprang from (Rhythm Coalition) since it’s inception back in the early 90′s. Ron has just begun a new business venture in the lawn care arena…sooo….”if ya got some grass ta mow, look him up!” Other interests are the outdoors, shooting sports, Harleys.
